Highlights Tour of Italy - 14 days - only $3,525
Venice, Cinque Terra, Tuscany, Rome and the Amalfi Coast

Our customers asked and we
listened!! They said that they loved the Jewels of Italy tour but they
would like to add a few days to see more of the small Italian villages and
perhaps the beauty by the sea. So, we have taken all of the wonderful things
included in the 10-day Jewels of Italy tour and have just added more.
There are two days in the "Italian Riviera" villages of Cinque Terra along with
a visit to Pisa and three days in Sorrento with visits to the ancient site of Pompeii and the
spectacular Amalfi Coast with free time for Sorrento and Capri. For both
Cinque Terra and Sorrento, we added incredible small hotels all with views of
the sea from your room; we know you will just love this tour.
The tour will start in the magical city of Venice. Its lack of
cars, beautiful canals
and buildings of all colors
make it a relaxing start to the tour. Our hotel is located in the center of the old
city so you can wander to your hearts desire. We will include a
highlights walking tour to get you acquainted with Venice's beauty and
history and a full day for you to explore.
After
Venice we will take the train to the peaceful villages of Cinque Terra along the
"Italian Riviera". The Cinque Terra villages are 5 little villages along
the coast where each is the perfect example of the quaint Italian
costal town. Here you will have free time to choose your Italian escape
activity; soak in the sun, walk along the coast between the villages or just
explore these adorable little towns. Because we stay 2 nights here, you can
experience it in the evening when the day tourists leave and you feel like you have the place to
yourself.
After
Cinque Terra we will take the train to the heart of Tuscany - the medieval
town of Siena. Along the way we will make a stop in Pisa to pop in for a quick
visit to the famous leaning tower. Siena has one of the most beautiful central squares in
all of Italy. It's location make it a perfect base in which
to experience Tuscany. We will take a day to see the art and
architecture of Florence with a local guide and another day to be driven
around the Tuscan countryside in a private minibus visiting small
villages and touring wineries.
After
Siena and Tuscany, we will hop back on a train to go to Rome. Again, our
hotel is in the heart of the city so you are able to experience Rome right out your doorstep
and at your own pace. We will have two
guided tours of Rome with local historical experts - Rome in the time of
Cesar with the ancients sites of the Colosseum, Forum, etc. and the
Vatican Museum with the breathtaking Sistine Chapel.
After
Rome it is time to wind down and get back to the seaside and some of the most
beautiful coastline in all of Italy; the famous Amalfi Coast. We will take
the train from Rome to Naples where a mini-bus will pick us up to take us to
Sorrento with a stop at the mysterious ancient site of Pompeii with guided tour. The afternoon is free to explore
Sorrento. The next day we will take a full day to have a guided private tour around the
villages of the Amalfi Coast and lunch overlooking the sea.
The
food. There is hardly a bad meal to be had in Italy but we will make sure
that you get the freshest, tastiest and most authentic Italian food for the
regions that we visit. Whether you love pasta, vegetables, seafood, etc
you will be having some meals that you will not soon forget, so make sure you
bring your camera to dinner.
Italy is one of our most popular
destinations and if you have two weeks we have picked the perfect combination of
"must see" historical sites, art and culture, and relaxing towns and villages to
experience the perfect Italy.
