What's included with the 2007
Secrets of the Da Vinci Code Tour
for $2,195

Perhaps it is easier to say what is NOT included in this package so you you can accurately estimate your costs and compare.  Airfare is the biggest non-included cost.  For the most part, everything you need after arrival except for 4 lunches and 4 dinners is included. There are no hidden "optional" things you need to really experience these three great cities and follow the Da Vinci trail. This and the small group size is what makes our tours such a great value.

     O.K.. so here is exactly what is included.....

All Guides Services - This includes the European Discovery Guide that will be with you throughout the entire trip to make sure all goes smoothly and the local experts who know the art, history, and culture of their city inside and out.  Tips are already included.

Expert Services for your Discovery Days - Whether it is research before you leave that is required, or help with phone calls, maps, arrangements, directions, etc., it is all included for your Discovery Days.  This is the specialty of European Discovery and whatever help you need, it is included.

Tours and admissions - All tours and admissions are included for the days when the group is together. In Paris this includes the guided walking tours of the Marais District and the day of Da Vinci Code and Paris Historic Highlights Tour - the Louvre museum, the Carrousel Arch, the Tuileries Gardens, St. Sulpice with the Gnomon and Rose Line. It also includes a garden tour and and entrance at the grand Palace of Versailles. A 3-day Paris Museum pass is included which covers all of these admissions plus most others in Paris. In London, this includes the London Eye, the day guided Da Vinci and London Highlights walking tour - Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, S Buckingham Palace, Temple Church plus entrance into Westminster Abbey, British Gallery and a Thames river cruise. In Edinburgh it includes admission and 2 hour Da Vinci/historic tour and visit of Rosslyn Chapel and its grounds and crypt.

Accommodations - Deluxe accommodations for nine nights at a centrally located, quiet small hotel.  Special care has been taken to find the very best value in a friendly, charming and elegant small hotel with local flavor that will be warm and welcoming as your home base.

Transportation - All local transportation is included. This includes 3 1-Day 1-2 Zone Travelcards (Tube and bus)  in London, the London/Paris Eurostar train, 3 1-Day 1-2 Zone Paris Mobilis cards, train transport to/from Versailles, 2 1-Day Bus Passes in Edinburgh and mini-bus transport to Rosslyn Chapel.  Airport transfer cost is not included, however, our tour escort can meet your arrival flight to make sure you get to your hotel easily and take you out to the airport upon departure if needed.

Meals - All breakfasts are included and half of your dinners and lunches (see detailed itinerary for specifics). Drinks are not included with the lunches and dinners.  All restaurants have been chosen for their exceptional quality of food, charm and often local history and atmosphere.  Wonderful food is an important part of a great trip and we have found some exceptional restaurants, pubs, and Bistros to include.  Discovery Day wine and cheese and the wine for the French Wine Discovery are also included.

Trip cancellation/interruption coverage - Included up to maximum $1,895 worth of trip cancellation/interruption insurance.

"The Best" Maps - Easy to read and compact maps will be provided for London, Paris and Edinburgh including the bus and tube/metro systems for both cities.  After years of experience and looking at many maps, these are the perfect blend of size and content to make sure your Discovery Days and time on your own are spent navigating like a pro.

"The Definitive Guide to the Da Vinci Code" by Paris Walks' Peter Caine.  The absolute best guide book for all of the details of the sites in Paris, of which there are many, that are used in the novel.  It also has very interesting sections on symbology, the cryptex and the sacred feminine.  The French version is on the best seller list in Paris and it will get your Da Vinci juices flowing as light reading on the plane.

Phone card - Included will be a $10 phone card that works in both the UK and France that you can use for whatever you may need - dinner reservations, directions or calling your European Discovery guide if you need help.

Tour Handbook - The tour handbook will include all of the things that you may want to refer to before, during and after the tour.  This will include some tips for before you leave such as packing lists, getting there, logistics, money, etc.  For while you are there, there will be details of all of the hotels that will be used,  the itinerary plus more facts about the sites.  Most importantly, there will be some suggestions and descriptions of things to do, places to see, and good restaurants for your Discovery Day.  There will also be helpful references to books and websites that could help you before you go to plan your Discovery Day.

French Phrase Book - While you do not need to speak French to visit Paris, it often helps to be able to use some simple phrases and polite words in French to distinguish yourself as a considerate and interesting traveler.  It also helps to have the basics for food and menu items so that you do not have any "food surprises" on your Discovery Days.  This small compact book will be just the basics to help your experience.
